The Bright Souls Choir started in January 2014. We wanted to introduce something new in Blackpool that was different to all the activities we offered in St Annes and Fleetwood. It proved to be so popular in the first few weeks that we expanded to Fleetwood to ensure easy access to everyone who wanted to come and join in with the fun. The choir wear polo shirts donated by Arco of Preston a family run firm who are experts in work safety.
The Choir started with just 4 members and now has 20 and is going from strength to strength. In the group you will learn all about ‘Blobs’, ’Bibbles’ and ‘Blah-Haa’s’ as well as learning to sing in harmony with musical director Lucy Williams.
Bright Souls performed the first demonstration of their talent at Rothwell Hall in Blackpool in front of 40 people, the vibe was electric from both the choir and the audience, and was full of confidence and smiles, people who are quite shy were singing at the top of their voices with great pride at their new found confidence. This was followed by a performance at Bispham Community Centre. Word continued to spread fast and the choir performed at the Fun Café at the Marine Hall Fleetwood, before singing at the St Annes Christmas lights switch on.
