We currently have two Rambling groups: one in Wyre on a Friday and one on a Tuesday in Fylde.
The rambling groups have structured walks around the surrounding countryside. We support ramblers to look at walks that are adapted for their abilities and the groups do split up if the ramblers wish to take on different levels of challenge. This way each rambler can take a stroll or march on depending on their preference.
The Fylde group are currently able to go further afield than Fleetwood because transport is provided to reach their destinations. The Fylde group walk in Beacon Fell, Flashington Pike, Clitheroe Castle, Brockholes Nature Reserve, Cuerden Valley, Williamson Park and many other destinations. If the weather takes a turn for the worse the group may access indoor places such as Museums or the Butterfly house in Lancaster.
The Fleetwood group cover Fleetwood, Poulton and Knott End as transport is not provided, however public transport is an option if the group wish to go farther afield. The group will sometimes take the Ferry over to Knott End and walk around that area and Pilling.
